- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar (packed)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs

- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl until you achieve a smooth consistency.
- Combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until blended smoothly.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Mix the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Fold the dry mixture into the banana mixture using a rubber spatula, being careful not to overmix.
- Add chocolate chips if desired, folding them gently into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for about 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
- Cool the brownies in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store brownies in an airtight container for up to three days or refrigerate for a week. Freezing is also an option for longer storage.
