Description

Indulge in the delightful fusion of classic banana bread and decadent brownies. These moist, chocolaty treats are perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 medium-sized ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×9 inch baking pan by greasing it or lining with parchment paper.
  3. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
  4. Combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter with the mashed bananas.
  5. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until fully combined.
  6. Mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  7. Combine the dry ingredients with the banana mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  8. Add the chocolate chips if desired.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top.
  10. Bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  11. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
