Description

Golden, crispy Buffalo Chicken Bacon Mozzarella Bombs filled with savory ground chicken, crispy bacon, and gooey mozzarella, perfect for game day gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Mozzarella Cheese (Cut into cubes)
  • 6 slices Cooked Bacon (Crumble before use)
  • 1 lb Ground Chicken
  • 1/2 cup Buffalo Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Plain Flour
  • 2 large Eggs (Beaten)
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs (Panko or Regular)
  • 2 cups Vegetable Oil or Canola Oil (For frying)

Instructions

  1. Combine the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, meld the ground chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and buffalo sauce. Fold in the crispy bacon and mozzarella cubes until evenly combined.
  2. Shape the Bombs: Grab a handful of the chicken mixture (approximately two tablespoons) and form it into a ball, enclosing a mozzarella cube in the center.
  3. Coat the Bombs: Set up a dredging station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs. Roll each bomb first in flour, then dip into the egg, and finally coat them in breadcrumbs.
  4. Rest the Bombs: Place the coated bombs on your lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
  5. Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable or canola oil over medium-high heat, ensuring it reaches about 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry to Perfection: Add a few bombs at a time and fry until golden brown on all sides, about 4-5 minutes.
  7. Drain and Serve: Transfer the bombs to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve warm with extra buffalo sauce on the side.

Notes

Consider using an air fryer for a lighter option. Assemble the bombs a day in advance and refrigerate them before frying.
