Description

Perfectly golden hash browns with a crispy exterior and fluffy potato interior, ideal for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 3 Large Potatoes
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • Optional: Onion or Garlic Powder

Instructions

  1. Prep the potatoes by peeling and grating them into thin shreds. Rinse under cold water to eliminate excess starch, then drain and pat dry with a kitchen towel.
  2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  3. Add the grated potatoes to the hot oil in an even layer and season with salt and pepper. Cook undisturbed for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the hash browns carefully using a spatula and fry for another 5-7 minutes until crispy and golden all over.
  5. Drain them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite toppings or enjoy as a side dish.

Notes

Make sure to drain the grated potatoes thoroughly for optimal crispiness. You can customize by adding bell peppers or cheese.
