Description

Golden-brown, flaky pastry encasing tender chicken infused with a symphony of spices, perfect for sharing during cozy dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Shredded Chicken
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs (Parsley or Mint)
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1 package Phyllo Pastry
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Sauté the Onion in olive oil until soft and translucent.
  3. Combine the filling ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
  4. Prepare the phyllo dough by cutting it into long strips.
  5. Assemble the briouats by placing filling on one end of the strip and folding into a triangular shape.
  6. Arrange briouats seam-side down on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden-brown.

Notes

Keep phyllo dough covered with a damp towel to prevent drying out. Can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
