Description

Grilled Shrimp Pineapple Skewers are a delicious and vibrant dish that combines succulent shrimp with sweet pineapple, perfect for summer barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pineapple, cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the shrimp to the marinade and let it sit for 15-30 minutes.
  4. Thread the marinated shrimp and pineapple chunks onto the skewers, alternating between shrimp and pineapple.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the grill and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • Feel free to add bell peppers or onions for extra flavor and color.
  • Serve with a side of rice or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
