Description

Delight in these Healthy Baked Churro Bites that combine a crunchy exterior with a soft, moist interior, dusted with cinnamon sugar for a guilt-free indulgence.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix together the almond flour, coconut flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk the melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Combine the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  5. Shape the dough into bite-sized balls and place them on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Coat the warm bites in cinnamon sugar.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

You can prepare the dough a few hours in advance and store it in the fridge. These bites can also be made in an air fryer for a crunchy texture.
