Description

Juicy, herb-infused Lebanese Kafta patties grilled to perfection, bursting with flavor and ideal for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef or Lamb
  • 1 medium Grated Onion (drained)
  • 1 cup Chopped Parsley
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Allspice
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne (Optional)
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Lemon (for squeezing)
  • 4 pieces Pita or Rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Combine meat and seasonings in a large mixing bowl, mixing thoroughly with your hands.
  2. Form the mixture into oblong patties, about 3 inches long and 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat or oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Cook the patties on the grill for 4-5 minutes per side or in the oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over cooked patties before serving.

Notes

Drain grated onion well to prevent excess moisture. Prepare the mixture in advance for better flavor.
