Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Beef or Lamb
  • 1 medium Grated Onion
  • 1 cup Chopped Parsley
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Allspice

  1. Combine the ground beef or lamb with the grated onion, chopped parsley, minced garlic, cumin, allspice, salt, pepper, and cayenne in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into elongated patties, about 4 inches long and 1 inch thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Carefully place the kafta patties in the skillet once it’s hot.
  5. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  6. Remove from heat and let them rest for a few minutes.
  7. Serve with fresh lemon wedges and your choice of pita or rice.

Notes

Consider cooking the kafta mixture a day in advance for enhanced flavor. Optionally, use a grill or air fryer for different cooking methods.
