Description

Deliciously crispy fries smothered in a creamy white cheddar sauce infused with zesty ranch seasoning and a kick of cayenne.


Ingredients

  • 26 ounces frozen French fries
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder (divided)
  • 8 ounces white cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Arrange the frozen fries in a single layer on a baking sheet or in the air fryer basket and bake until golden brown according to package instructions.
  3. While the fries bake, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat and whisk in the flour until combined. Cook for about 2 minutes while stirring.
  4. Gradually add the milk while whisking continuously to create a smooth sauce. Stir in the salt, white pepper, ranch seasoning, and half of the cayenne powder.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until thickened (about 5 minutes), then add shredded white cheddar cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
  6. Once the fries are golden, remove from the oven or air fryer, and drizzle the cheese sauce over or serve it on the side.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
