Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz Rotini Pasta
- 12 oz Spicy Sausage (Andouille or Italian)
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 cup BBQ Sauce (smoky or honey-based)
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder or Cayenne Pepper
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- Fresh Parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the rotini and cook according to package instructions until al dente—around 7 to 9 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil. Introduce the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5–7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed. Toss in the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant—about 1 minute.
- Make the Sauce: Pour in the BBQ sauce, followed by honey, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well, letting it simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Combine and Toss: Return the sausage to the skillet, then add the drained pasta. Toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
