Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake that combines the flavors of sushi with the comfort of a baked dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, cooked and flaked
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  3. In a pot, combine the rinsed rice and water, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Stir into the cooked rice.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flaked salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, and green onions.
  6. Spread the sushi rice evenly in a baking dish.
  7. Top the rice with the salmon mixture.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until heated through.
  9. Garnish with nori strips and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less sriracha.
  • Can substitute salmon with cooked crab or shrimp for variation.
  • Serve with soy sauce and pickled ginger for an authentic experience.
