Description
Crispy on the outside and filled with juicy chicken, gooey mozzarella, and smoky bacon, these Buffalo Chicken Bacon Mozzarella Bombs are the ultimate game day snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Mozzarella Cheese (cut into cubes)
- 6 slices Cooked Bacon (crumbled)
- 1 lb Ground Chicken
- 1/2 cup Buffalo Sauce
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 cup Plain Flour
- 2 large Eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs (Panko or Regular)
- 2 cups Vegetable Oil or Canola Oil
Instructions
- Prep the filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, crumbled bacon, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients fuse together.
- Form the bombs: Take a small handful of the chicken mixture, flatten it, and nestle a cube of mozzarella in the center. Fold the chicken mix around the cheese, shaping it into a ball. Repeat this process until all filling is used.
- Coat the bombs: Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs. Roll each bomb in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat the oil: In your deep frying pan, heat the vegetable or canola oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Fry to perfection: Lower the bombs into hot oil in batches for about 3-4 minutes, turning until golden brown.
- Drain: Lift the bombs out of the oil and place them onto a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve immediately with additional buffalo sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
Notes
For best results, do not overcrowd the pan when frying. Consider customizing with different types of cheese or spices.
