Description

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, tea leaves, vanilla extract, and lemon zest until fully incorporated.
  5. Add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls (about two tablespoons each) and then roll in the extra sugar before placing on the baking sheet.
