Description

A delightful quick bread featuring the rich flavors of chocolate combined with the tartness of fresh cherries, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and either grease your loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa powder, and pinch of salt.
  3. Combine the Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and melted butter until fully blended.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry Mixes: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in the Goodness: Add the chocolate chips and chopped cherries, gently folding them into the batter.
  6. Transfer to the Pan: Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  7. Bake to Perfection: Place the loaf pan in your preheated oven and bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
