  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 2 cups Shredded cabbage (green or purple)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon Honey
  • 8 small Corn or flour tortillas (warmed)
  • Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Create the coating: In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Prepare the buttermilk: In a separate bowl, pour the buttermilk.
  3. Coat the fish: Dip each fish fillet into the buttermilk, then dredge it in the seasoned flour mixture.
  4. Heat the oil: In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until shimmering.
