Ingredients

- 2 lbs beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the beef roast generously with salt and pepper.
- Lay the sliced onions and minced garlic on top of the roast.
- Combine the beef broth, water, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce in a mixing bowl, then pour over the beef.
- Cover the crockpot and set it to low for 480 minutes or high for 240 minutes.
- Remove the beef when done and shred it with two forks.
- Return the shredded beef to the broth in the crockpot.
- Serve by piling the shredded beef onto hoagie rolls and topping with provolone cheese.
