Description

A delightful appetizer featuring garlic-infused shrimp on crispy baguette slices, topped with creamy avocado and a zesty lime sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1012 baguette slices (about ½” thick)
  • 6 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 avocado
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 big garlic cloves, cut into slivers
  • ¾ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Slice the baguette into 10-12 pieces, each about ½ inch thick.
  3. Whisk together 3 tablespoons of olive oil with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
  4. Brush both sides of each baguette slice with the garlic-infused oil.
  5. Bake the crostini for about 10-15 minutes until golden and crunchy.
  6. Halve the avocado, scoop the flesh into a bowl, and mash until smooth.
  7. Add lime juice, salt, and black pepper to the mashed avocado and mix well.
  8. Heat the remaining olive oil in a skillet, add sliced garlic, and sauté.
  9. Increase the heat, add shrimp, and season with smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  10. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-5 minutes.
  11. Spread a layer of avocado mixture on each crostini and top with a shrimp.
  12. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. Avocado spread can be made a few hours in advance. Cover to minimize browning.
