- 12 large mushrooms
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 green onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems.
- Mix the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, chopped green onion, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
- Fill each mushroom cap generously with the cheese mixture.
- Place the stuffed mushrooms on a prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the tops are golden brown.
- Serve warm as a delightful appetizer or snack.
Notes
Make them ahead of time by preparing the filling and assembling them just before baking. Can substitute regular bacon with turkey bacon for a healthier option.
