Description

Experience the vibrant flavors of Korea with this delightful Korean BBQ Steak Rice Bowl, featuring tender steak, spicy cream sauce, and fluffy rice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, gochujang, honey, and minced garlic.
  2. Marinate the Steak: Coat the sliced steak in the marinade and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Cook the Steak: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the marinated steak. Cook for about 3-5 minutes until desired doneness.
  4. Create the Sauce: In a saucepan, combine heavy cream and sriracha. Heat gently until smooth and warm.
  5. Assemble the Bowls: Divide cooked rice into bowls, top with steak, drizzle with sauce, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, marinate the steak overnight. You can customize the bowls with seasonal vegetables or use an air fryer for cooking the steak.
