- 3–4 medium ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chopped Oreos
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a medium bowl until smooth.
- Combine vegetable oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl; beat until well combined.
- Fold in the mashed bananas into the wet mixture until fully integrated.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture gradually, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in chopped Oreos until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for about 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to prepare the glaze, if desired. Drizzle over cooled bread.
Notes
This bread tastes better the next day as the flavors meld. For a quicker baking method, you can use an air fryer.
