Description

Tender Salisbury Steak meatballs served over creamy garlic herb mashed potatoes, creating a comforting and flavorful meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp dried herbs (like parsley or thyme)
  • Garlic powder to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs about the size of a golf ball.
  4. Arrange them on a greased baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  6. Meanwhile, boil the potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 15–20 minutes.
  7. Drain well and mash the potatoes with milk, butter, dried herbs, garlic powder, and salt to taste.
  8. Serve the meatballs over the mashed potatoes, drizzling any pan juices on top.

Notes

For make-ahead tips, form and bake meatballs a day ahead and refrigerate before serving. Reheat gently to maintain moisture.
