Ingredients

- 450 g raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 60 g breadcrumbs
- 15 g fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 0.5 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 ripe avocado, mashed
- 40 g red onion, finely chopped
- 1 small jalapeño, minced (optional)
- 4 burger buns of choice
- Lettuce leaves, for serving
- Sliced tomatoes, for serving
Instructions
- Chop the shrimp in a food processor until coarsely chopped.
- Transfer the shrimp mixture to a large mixing bowl.
- Add breadcrumbs, cilantro, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, egg, and lime juice.
- Mix gently until all ingredients blend well.
- Shape into four equal patties.
- Heat a grill or non-stick skillet over medium heat and oil lightly.
- Cook patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Mash avocado in a bowl and mix with onion, jalapeño, salt, and lime juice.
- Toast burger buns if desired.
- Assemble burgers with shrimp patty, guacamole, lettuce, and tomatoes.

Make ahead: Prepare the shrimp mixture and guacamole a few hours prior. Cover and refrigerate until ready to cook.
