Description

Succulent shrimp burgers topped with creamy cilantro guacamole, offering a flavorful twist on classic burgers.


Ingredients

  • 450 g raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 60 g breadcrumbs
  • 15 g fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 ripe avocado, mashed
  • 40 g red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small jalapeño, minced (optional)
  • 4 burger buns of choice
  • Lettuce leaves, for serving
  • Sliced tomatoes, for serving

Instructions

  1. Chop the shrimp in a food processor until coarsely chopped.
  2. Transfer the shrimp mixture to a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add breadcrumbs, cilantro, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, egg, and lime juice.
  4. Mix gently until all ingredients blend well.
  5. Shape into four equal patties.
  6. Heat a grill or non-stick skillet over medium heat and oil lightly.
  7. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  8. Mash avocado in a bowl and mix with onion, jalapeño, salt, and lime juice.
  9. Toast burger buns if desired.
  10. Assemble burgers with shrimp patty, guacamole, lettuce, and tomatoes.

Notes

Make ahead: Prepare the shrimp mixture and guacamole a few hours prior. Cover and refrigerate until ready to cook.
