Description

A vibrant and spicy take on traditional pickled eggs, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 ½ cups apple cider vinegar
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 2 jalapenos, sliced
  • ½ tsp black peppercorns
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds

Instructions

  1. Combine the water, apple cider vinegar, and salt in a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring occasionally until the salt dissolves.
  3. Pack the hard-boiled eggs in a clean, large mason jar. Add the sliced jalapenos, black peppercorns, mustard seeds, and garlic.
  4. Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the eggs, ensuring they are submerged.
  5. Cool the jar at room temperature until it reaches room temperature.
  6. Refrigerate the jar and let the eggs sit for at least seven days before enjoying.
  7. Store in the fridge for up to a month.

Notes

Patience is key for flavor development! Customize heat by adjusting jalapenos or experimenting with other spices.
