Description

A comforting dish featuring savory sausage and al dente pasta coated in a sticky honey garlic glaze, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sausage (sliced)
  • 8 oz pasta (fusilli or penne)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups spinach (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Start by boiling water in a pot, adding a generous pinch of salt, and cooking the pasta according to package directions. Once al dente, drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the Skillet: In a large skillet, warm a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Brown the Sausage: Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until browned and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Infuse with Garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add Sweetness and Depth: Pour in the honey and soy sauce, stirring well to combine.
  6. Combine with Pasta: Toss the drained pasta into the skillet, ensuring every piece is coated beautifully in the sweet sauce.
  7. Add Spinach (Optional): If using, add the spinach and cook until wilted, about 2 minutes.
  8. Season to Taste: Sprinkle with salt and pepper, giving everything a final stir.
  9. Serve Warm: Dish up the pasta and enjoy your delicious meal while it’s still warm!

Notes

For a leaner option, use turkey or chicken sausage. This dish can also be made vegetarian by replacing sausage with mushrooms.
